Avast 2015 Final Version Released
If you are following our news regularly, you probably already knew the Avast 2015 beta has…
After releasing a free version of avast! Mobile Security in December 2011, AVAST releases also it’s paid-for sister called avast! Mobile Premium.
According to AVAST, the free version is currently being used by more than 25 million Android users (counting both mobile, and tablets). But still it’s probably less than AVG AntiVirus Security – FREE which, according to the Google Play, got between 50 – 100 million installations. Also funny is that both competitors got exactly same user’s rating – 4.6 points (as of today). Anyway let’s get back to the avast! Mobile Premium.
Differences compared to the free version are quite small, however they could be handy. Especially the advanced Anti-Theft feature looks great.
While the last three looks less interesting, let’s talk about the Premium Anti-Theft, and Backup.
avast! Mobile Premium – Paid-for Android Protection from AVAST
So called Geo-Fencing is part of the Premium Anti-Theft. It basically gives you an option to define an action when your phone gets out of the perimeter (virtual circle). Let’s you’re in the bar so you set the perimeter to 100 metres, and if someone steals you a phone from pocket, run with it beyond the border, it will perform your defined action. You can select actions like really loud alarm, phone lock, SMS notification, and many more.
For the worst case, if you lost your phone for ever. You don’t need worry about all your data as you got Premium Backup. That basically backs-up everything you have in the phone including phone settings, and game scores. Backup of photos, videos, music, contacts, and messages is sort of a standard these days, so no surprise avast! Premium Backup covers all of it.
Only way how to obtain avast! Mobile Premium is the upgrade from the avast! Free Mobile Security. Simply tap on the green icon ‘Go Premium!’ on the application main screen. Pricing is as follows
If you consider the advanced features which could safe you a lot of troubles with the lost phone (and money, of course), the price seems reasonable.
