New Program Update (10.2.2214) For Avast 2015 Has Been Released
POST UPDATE (March 25, 2015): Avast has just released another program update Avast 2015 R2 SP1…
Last week Microsoft has released a 10-year Anniversary Update for Windows 10. The latest update brings lots of new features, applications and improvements like smarter Cortana, more Themes, better integration with your Android or Windows phone, extension support for Microsoft Edge browser, additional protection from Windows Defender (even if you have Avast installed; so-called periodic scanning).
When the update was released many Avast users got BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) after they installed the update. It was caused due to the incompatibility between one of the Avast drivers (aswvmm.sys) and Intel CPU from the Skylake family. However Avast has promptly identified the issue and released an emergency program update which fixed the issue.
Bottom line is latest Avast antivirus is fully compatible with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. But you need to make sure you are running the latest Avast version.
