POST UPDATE (March 25, 2015): Avast has just released another program update Avast 2015 R2 SP1 (build number 2015.10.2.2215). This fresh update includes some fixes like issues with the SecureLine licenses, failed to load language dll [1033\UILangRes.dll] error, Mail Shield blocking Live Mail, and many other minor ones.

Avast has released a second program update called Avast Antivirus 2015 R2.  Build version is 2015.10.2.2214. As always with Avast, you can update to the latest version completely for free.

Update itself doesn’t contain any extra new features, but rather small cosmetic improvements. The biggest news is probably the Windows 10 compatibility. Full list of changes/improvements includes

  • New Windows 10 Compatibility – Compatibility with Windows 10 has been rapidly improved, so you can now use Avast there
  • Improved WebShield – WebShield has been improved so you can now surf the Internet faster. Also the issues with the expired certificate has been fixed
  • Improved Browser Cleanup Integration – Browser Cleanup is now fully integrated into Avast interface. You can now scan for the bad browser add-ons directly from the ‘Scan‘ menu
  • Improved Avast NG Virtualization – Avast NG performance and stability has been improved
  • Removed AccessAnywhere Removed – AccessAnywhere feature has been removed and replaced with the Remote Assistance feature available through the Avast Account or ‘Tools‘ » ‘Remote Assistance
  • Improved GrimeFighter UEFI Compatibility – GrimeFighter tool now supports computers running on UEFI

You can update your Avast directly from the program interface by going to ‘Settings‘ » ‘Update‘ » ‘Program‘ » ‘Update‘. Usually Avast also prompts you with the pop-up notification to update.

After the successful update and computer restart, you should get the following screen.
