We love Avast and that’s why we have decided to offer a completely free support and customer service for all consumer products: Free Antivirus, Pro Antivirus, Internet Security, Premier, GrimeFighter and SecureLine VPN.

We will do our best to answer and help you with the technical related questions. Unfortunately we can’t help you with the billing and status order questions. Also we are not able to process an order refund. For these you need to go directly to Avast.

Before submitting your support ticket, please make sure there isn’t a similar questions already answered. You can use the search function or browser the related category manually. Also you can check our list of how-to articles. Our step-by-step guides include many useful tips and more importantly also a screenshots.

Once again please note we are not an official Avast support.

Go to official Avast Customer & Technical Support, where you can submit a ticket directly to the customer support department. It’s totally free.

Another great support area is the Official Avast Forum, where you can get a quick response from many of the avast! evangelists who love to help others. And same as the support tickets it’s totally free.

Our How-tos and Help

Written by Paul B.

My name is Paul and I love Avast since the Home Edition v4.8 (2008). I am recommending it to all my friends, but I realized they don't know how to use it. So I started this site in order to help others getting maximum from this awesome antivirus. Feel free to contact me via Facebook, comments below or this form.

I hope you can help as it seems none of the actual Avast links for support work.
A couple of days ago the Avast Safe Zone browser installed as part of an update. I admit I clicked to allow it to install thinking – Avast is a good product, why not. Then I discover it automatically changed other settings and I simply didn’t like it so I uninstalled it. Then I had to fix the default for opening PDF’s so they would work – Ok figured it out. Now today I discover I can’t open any links from that are in emails. Upon further research I find out I should have changed my default browser back to my original browser (Chrome) before I uninstalled Safe Zone. So, the question is, how do I reinstall Safe Zone (can’t find it anywhere) so I can take care of this?
Or is there another way to do this.
    This is very important – I can’t accept e-transfers, I can’t open any links.
I guess the other question is – am I going to discover any other surprises down the road?

    I’m running Windows 8.1 with Outlook 2016

Avast may produce a great software but as far as customer service goes you can forget about finding anyone to answer their published phone numbers. You can forget about submitting a ticket to their customer service people for help like you once could. As of today they have totally insulated themselves from their paying customers. There is no way a customer can contact anyone at Avast now. Avast Customer Service is non-existent. I’ve been an Avast customer for years who has had to submit a ticket before to reach customer service. But today you cannot even do that. So as I found out today if you have a billing question, or need help for something other than technical support you’re screwed. I cannot recommend Avast or any of their services to anyone. My recommendation is to find another company that provides easy access to their customer service people.

I am being automatically charged, but on two different credit cards??? There are two different amounts. What is going on? I need to cancel one, but don’t know which to cancel.

This is my final request before I remove Avast and Avast VNP from both our computers. We will request a Refund of monies for the unacceptable service.

I have connected and spoken to Avast several times and VPN has not worked for
the past 19 days. Not acceptable.
Every time I phone in to Avast they say that Head Office has not updated Avast VPN. This is not acceptable. I await your immediate e-mail reply as I am away
however I am available now at 1-705-788-7287 for the next three hours.
Thank you I await your urgent contact.
