If you will ever get to a situation, when your avast license/subscription is expiring soon, you need act fast. When Avast 2018 is expired, you will stop receiving automatic virus definitions updates, which makes your system unprotected against the latest threats.

To find you how long is your subscription valid, open your Avast interface, go to settings (left bottom corner) » ‘Subscription‘. There you will see your status which can be ‘You are registered‘ and how many days you have left, or ‘Your registration has expired‘ if you have passed the expiration date.

Don’t worry, if your Avast registration has expired, and your protection has stopped, there is a simple way how to fix it and renew your subscription. You need to re-register yourself and get a new license for 1-year. Please see our registration guide ‘Register for the Free 1-Year License Key for Avast Antivirus 2018‘ for more details.

Once your Avast protection will start expiring, you will start getting the following pop-up notifications with the message ‘Your Avast expires in X days – choose your protection‘. I have the free version of Avast and it is asking me to reactivate. When I click reactivate, the free version cannot be selected, only the paid version can be selected. Why is Avast forcing me into a paid subscription when all I want is the free version?

I was promised all I would have to pay is $19.99 but it looks like that this is a Lie. Also AVAST makes it really hard to find and cancel a automatic renewal. I finally figured it out after googling & searching for over an hour for the answer.

I do not want the free version of Avast, I want to renew the paid version which I believe expires in three days

was told that my Avast was expiring and would automatically renew for the one year. I believe that it did but it charged me $49.99. When I check the updated plan it stated $19.99. Why did I have to pay 49.99?

This is what I would like to know as well, but obviously I can see that AVAST is NOT answering any questions on here.
