Why does each time i insert a usb flash drive in my laptop my avast turns all its folders into shortcuts?

    • Jai Kumar Reply

Hi Sanjay.. This Happens Repeatedly Because of the Autorun.inf Virus wich spreads through the usb sticks , When the infected usb pluggen on a computer then the Whole Computer gets infected and from then onwards it spreads to the Devices connected to that pc . You Better Try the SMADAV USB Antivirus along with Avast for more protection & security to system ,

First Go to the website ” http://www.smadav.net/ ” download & Install it.
Then Run a full scan & aftr the scan completion click the fix all option
And Click Start button, type Gpedit.msc in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

      User Account Control permission
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
Under Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, expand Windows Components, and then click Autoplay Policies.
In the Details pane, double-click Turn off Autoplay.
Click Enabled, and then select All drives in the Turn off Autoplay box to disable Autorun on all drives.
Restart the computer. And From Now Onwards when a usb is plugged on the pc smadav will quick scan it and avoid any infected to spread it to your computer

      Thank You & Enjoy
