New Program Update (10.2.2214) For Avast 2019 Has Been Released
POST UPDATE (March 25, 2015): Avast has just released another program update Avast 2015 R2 SP1…
Avast has just released new update to the Avast Antivirus 2017. Build version is 17.5.2302. As always with Avast, you can update to the latest version completely for free. If you are not interested in the update details, you can go directly to download links.
The major change is the new feature called Ransomware Shield which is available in the premium products Avast Internet Security and Avast Premier. There is already an Anti-Ransomware Protection (part of the Behavior Shield) in all Avast versions, including the free one. However this is an additional layer which allows user to set up protected folders and list of apps which have read/write access to them.
Another ransomware protection is extremely useful, considering all the latest attacks like WannaCry or Petya. Plus Avast (and AVG) is doing extremely well in terms of protection as it was the only free product which stopped 100% of attacks with 0 false-positives in the recent Real-World Protection Test from AV-Comparatives.
